Character Altering.....

In the story, Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller, all the characters have a different role. I’ve never been the one to pay close attention to the characters names but instead I just follow the story line. Remembering when a character speaks is always difficult for me. Every time I finish reading a play, I seem to forget what characters did what but I can always remember the whole story line.
If I was able to replace Willy Loman in the play with anyone, I would cast Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Cage has been in a numerous count of movies. In every movie he brings a different character to life. Willy is a man that is determined to keep his family together and always works hard. Willy also shows determination and this is where Willy and Nicolas Cage share similarities. Both of the actors show a huge amount of hard work and how much they care about what they do.
If replacing Linda, I would cast my grandmother in. My grandmother is such a caring and loving woman. She is always thinking about the family and always putting herself last. Linda and my grandmother share the same similarities when it comes to loving and showing their family attention. My grandmother is also a very faithful woman like Linda shows in the play while her husband Willy goes out of town for work. My grandparents also share close to the same relationship that Willy and Linda do. There were many more women I could have cast in for Linda’s position but this one seemed to fit the best.
Biff shares similarities with actor Liam Neeson. Liam, in the movie Taken, shows determination and seeks to find himself and as well as his daughter. Liam is sure of himself unlike Happy. Happy seeks to find himself and to be better than his dad and brother. In the movie Taken, Liam knows that he is better than his daughter’s kidnappers and goes out to find her regardless of the consequences.
